A foreign traveler (19th century) asked a villager from
Macedonia if the place
he lived
in was Greek and if he himself was Greek, too.
-Dig in the ground on which you stand and you will find
some ancient remains,
said the villager. If those are not Greek then neither am I Greek
and nor is this land,
where I live, Greek..."
Many Macedonian Artifacts were unearthed.
